What you'll do
Role Description:
Designs and builds the organization's cyber security systems and infrastructure.
Job Responsibilities:
- Information Security 7: Lead in detecting and analyzing security incidents, including attacks, breaches, and identified vulnerabilities, and remediate any security gaps in line with the security incident management procedure.
- Company Data Protection 6: Design and implement disaster recovery and contingency plans to protect company data.
- Horizon Scanning 7: Explore and develop a detailed understanding of external developments or emerging issues and evaluate their potential impact on, or usefulness to, the organization.
- Data Exploration 6: Conduct research and select relevant information to enable analysis of key themes and trends using primary data sources and business intelligence tools.
- Policies and Procedures Development 6: Contribute to the drafting of policies, procedures, and related guidelines within an area of expertise to meet defined key principles and ensure compliance with external requirements.

Expert Knowledge of Endpoint Monitoring Technology: You have in-depth experience with endpoint monitoring tools (such as Qualys and Defender), understanding how they operate, are maintained, and can be optimized within an enterprise environment like Volvo Cars to deliver the best results.
Comprehensive Understanding of Modern Digital Ecosystems: You have a strong grasp of how endpoint monitoring fits into a modern digital ecosystem, including the ability to fully utilize these tools in a network environment with both segmented on-premises and multi-cloud infrastructures.
Awareness of Critical Dependencies: You understand the key dependencies when implementing and operating endpoint monitoring technologies. For example, you know how to leverage Asset Management Data within an endpoint vulnerability context to enhance security.
Technical Expertise for Endpoint Product Management: You represent the technical knowledge available to Endpoint Product Management, helping translate the organization’s needs into achievable goals with engineering support.
Collaboration with Product Management: You work closely with Product Management to develop new or updated product concepts. This includes, but is not limited to:
• Identifying ways to maximize the value of existing and new features in tools like Qualys and other technologies.
• Building proof-of-concept models and evaluating the feasibility of new product ideas.
• Managing dependencies and risks related to product concepts.
• Understanding how technology can be leveraged to meet customer needs and expectations.
• Engaging with stakeholders, in collaboration with Product Management, to capture and understand their needs.
Leadership and Mentorship: As a technical leader within the team, you guide and support more junior team members. You also contribute to expanding services and best practices for operations and maintenance, offering technical leadership in discussions with stakeholders.
Agile Support: You support the team in Agile activities such as daily stand-ups, planning sessions, retrospectives, etc.
Expertise in Vulnerability Remediation: You understand the challenges and opportunities in vulnerability remediation within an enterprise organization and can deploy services that assist in these efforts.
Collaboration with Technology Suppliers: You engage with technology suppliers (e.g., Qualys) to stay informed about upcoming changes and opportunities that Volvo Cars can leverage to enhance its services.
Stakeholder Engagement: You maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and work with teams identified as dependencies to ensure alignment and smooth operations.
Data-Driven Continuous Improvement: You assist the team in defining and managing relevant delivery metrics, using data to drive continuous improvement and foster learning within the team.
Supporting Stakeholders in Endpoint Services: You provide guidance to stakeholders on how to effectively utilize endpoint services.
Communication and Relationship Building: You can communicate complex technical concepts to management and help them understand how technology can be utilized to meet business objectives. Your English language skills are excellent.
