Volvo Cars is on an ambitious journey to modernize and extend our current Digital landscape. We are now looking for a Full Stack Developer Service Layer Parts Supply & Logistics (PS&L) to strengthen our Manufacturing & Supply Chain Digital area with skills that help us build and develop the PS&L Service Layer.
You will work in close collaboration with colleagues in business units around the world as we create IT innovations for safe, sustainable, and convenient mobility. We believe that being curious and truly committed to understanding people is the key to future success.
What you'll do
As a Full Stack Service Layer Developer, you will be part of an agile team that creates and maintains the PS&L Service Layer which acts as a middleware between major back end (mainframe) applications and different front-end applications used by Volvo Cars Staff in the Warehouses we manage across the globe. The Service Layer is in full development, and we are extending the scope all the time.
All the Warehouses around the planet rely on reliable, timely and correct data to optimize the transport of spare parts to our dealers and thus to our end customers, the Service Layer has to be reliable, fast, secure and able to handle massive amounts of transactions. It is the role of the Service Layer Team to make that happen and strengthen the customer satisfaction and brand experience of our end customers.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Technical Design of Complex Solutions involving microservices as well as legacy apps.
- Maintaining the complete software build and CI flow.
- Collaborate effectively with international cross-tech teams to deliver impactful and cost-effective solutions.
- Exhibit problem-solving skills to address data-related challenges and optimize processes.
- Code Review enabling best practices.
- Mentoring fellow Developers / Tech leads.
What you'll bring
- Advanced proficiency in Java.
- Expertise building micro-services using Spring Boot / Node JS.
- Expertiese in building REST APIs.
- UI Development experience using React / Angular.
- Experienced with at least one cloud provider – Azure / GCP / AWS
- Experience in Event based integrations using Kafka or similar.
- Hands on experience with at least one RDBMS and one No SQL DB.
- Python experience is good to have.
- Worked with latest monitoring & alerting tools.
- Worked with Kubernets / Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
- Good to have experience on Test Automation Frameworks
