In the PLM Core cluster you will be part of designing and delivering software development and installation services to Volvo Cars, that secure continuous flow of the In-Car software release to end users. It’s an opportunity to take on complex tasks and engage with a wide range of stakeholders within a global cross company environment, in one of the most exciting industries today.

 

Main responsibilities 


•    Develop new features and functionalities iteratively, sometimes working from a minimum of requirements.
•    Perform testing and troubleshoot application.
•    Develop and maintain consistent patterns, reusable components, and coding standards to support multiple car platforms.
•    Analyze requirements and pinpoint architectural challenges.
•    Collaborate with other Developers, Business Analysts, Architects, and Stakeholders to develop solutions that support the complete software development value flow.
•    Always apply a DevOps mindset using agile/Scrum methodologies.


Do you fit the profile?

•    B.E, MCA, BSc, MSc, or equivalent training in Computer Science or other relevant subject area
•    5 years of relevant experience from the automotive industry.
•    8 years of hands-on programming experience in mainframe development and COBOL.
•    8 years of web service development, REST APIs and z/OS Connect.
•    Knowledgeable in DB2.
•    Have worked with Azure Pipelines.
•    Testing experience, e.g. Postman.
•    Large scale systems design experience and in-depth understanding of the entire development process.
•    A person with excellent collaboration skills and enjoys supporting others.
•    Someone that fully embrace a growth mindset and have the ability to encourage others to do the same to develop the whole team.
•    Experience of working in an agile context, with methodologies such as SAFe and Scrum.


Meritorious experience:
•    The Volvo Cars Configuration Management and PLM systems
•    Automation testing tools such as Cypress
•    Axiomatics
•    CI/CD
•    Azure DevOps
•    Java and NodeJS
•    Familiarity with Typescript
