To support this mission, D&A Core has 5 core areas: Strategy & Transformation, Solution Partners & Analytics, Platforms, Architecture, and Data Governance, working to provide what is required to enable data and analytics teams across the organisation to deliver value from data, whilst creating a culture of collaboration and data excellence. 

The mission of Solution Partners & Analytics is to accelerate Volvo Cars' data maturity journey and drive value creation through the use of data, analytics and Al. We identify opportunities, provide guidance, promote best practices, and partner with data hubs and the business to develop impactful solutions. 

Main responsibilities

We are part of a transformation requiring orchestration of value focus deliveries across the enterprise; converging on the larger cross-functional programs in Volvo Cars where data is essential for growth. Likewise, the scale of the transformation requires extreme attention to change management, strategic communication and managing ambiguity. 

The D&A Program Managers will be responsible for managing programmes within a portfolio of data and analytics activities across Volvo Cars, ensuring there is a clear value attributed to the work undertaken, identifying interdependencies and risk, opportunities for reuse and efficiency improvements. This role also serves as the voice of D&A on strategic programs at Volvo Cars, ensuring where D&A has deliverables into strategic initiatives the work is prioritised accordingly. The D&A Program Managers report to the Programme & Portfolio Lead.  

The scope and scale of the programs will vary across multiple domains, including but not limited to, Logistics, Supply Chain Planning, Finance Transformation, Manufacturing, Commercial. For representing the needs and services of D&A on those strategic programs, the role is critical to ensure that data and analytics requirements and capabilities are considered in the early stages of the program planning process, as well as during business case development and subsequent value realisation.

In the role of  Program Manager, we are looking for someone who is a collaborator, communicative and with good interpersonal skills, able to converse at a senior management level and other. You must have experience from working in the capacity of a servant leader and coach for large teams, but also building effective virtual teams. 

 
We are looking for you who has a genuine interest in people and can build trusted relationships. You will be the go-to person for expertise related to this area, therefore a positive attitude and understanding of different perspectives combined with balancing stakeholders is important. This together with the willingness to coach and support to contribute to organizational development. Besides that, you are willing to take “hands-on” tasks and are good at planning your work accordingly. With your great experience combined with the ability to come up with new ideas, you will be able to bring this role to the necessary level. 
 
This is the role for you with 8+ years of experience in working within a global company or perhaps as a management consultant where you have focused and contributed to change management and skills planning.  You have an interest in the latest trends, and you are curious to find out which new technical solutions can add value. 

You also have 

• Advanced English communication skills 
• Experience working with highly visible projects in an international environment 
• Experience with large transformational and change management journeys 
• Experience facilitating workshops, and preferably working knowledge of design thinking  
• Experience working with analytics, understanding the data and what gaps require actions 
• Business leader with experience from industries with a high focus on customer experience 
• Strong background in cloud-based data engineering, with expertise in platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. 
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and / or scrum master certification is a plus.  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  
• Problem-solving mindset and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.  
• Leadership and team management skills.  
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.  
• Familiarity with data analytics tools and technologies (e.g., SQL, Python, Spark, streaming analytics etc).
