What you'll do

Role Overview

The Executive MP&L VCBL leads the Plant Material Handling team, ensuring efficient in-plant logistics, stable production planning, and continuous improvement in line with Volvo standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

- Develop the Material Handling team to execute all in-plant logistics operations.

- Ensure timely and cost-effective achievement of business and project targets.

- Oversee production planning to secure stable, levelled, and sustainable build rates.

- Drive continuous improvement through standard work, lean concepts, and Volvo Car Manufacturing System adherence.

- Implement and optimize logistics processes aligned with global Volvo standards.

- Manage inventory, inbound material flow, and Order-to-Delivery processes.

- Ensure efficient takt-based logistic operations and material handling improvements.

- Prepare funding proposals and ensure alignment with budget and investment metrics.

- Follow up on KPIs at team and individual levels to meet organizational goals.

- Coordinate closely with Industrial planning and Sales teams to align demand, production planning, and delivery commitments.

- Ensure timely communication of demand changes, constraints, and delivery risks to support accurate customer commitments.

- Drive cross‑functional alignment between Sales, Planning, Logistics, and Production to ensure on‑time and cost‑effective delivery.
