Who are you?

We are looking to expand one of our experienced development teams with a Fullstack Java Software Developer. Our ideal candidate is someone who loves to solve problems, provide quality for our users, and works well in a dedicated and focused team. You are a curious and open-minded person who are genuinely interested in developing your skillsets together with a team. You bring energy, creativity, a solution-oriented mindset and perhaps some humour.

We are currently working in a hybrid office/remote environment allowing for a certain degree of freedom in planning your workday. 

What we offer

You will join the Order Management & Planning cluster at Digital at Volvo Cars. Our cluster delivers digital solutions that improves stability and consistency in production plan, which will enable us to provide shorter and more accurate lead times to our end customers. You will be part of the journey as we deliver on our company’s vision and ensure high flow through our factories.

You will work with an experienced development team on an application called Apollo. Apollo is a sales planning tool and are there to support our commercials transformation. It’s a new digital tool for doing volume planning and communicating the plans between the different markets and the headquarters.

Main responsibilities

Strong skills in using Java, Angular JS and Spring Boot. You should also have proven experience in Java, HTML5, CSS, TypeScript/JavaScript. Have experience working with Kubernetes, Docker,. Knowledge of relational database such as write/read SQL are important. Full test automation (Selenium/Zalenium). Experience of SQL Server and MongoDB. As well good to have knowledge in Azure cloud, AWS, Azure DevOps and have a good understanding of UX Design.

Things that would be good to know or learn to excel in this role are Micro services architecture, Elastic search, Prometheus, Grafana, OAuth, REST, JSON.
