What you'll do

Role Description:
Analyzes and monitors the organization's cyber security measures; responds to actual penetration attempts by malicious hackers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Information Security 6: Implement required security measures, such as firewalls or message encryption, and provide input on their design, monitoring performance to notify security experts of any problems.
  • Company Data Protection 5: Implement and contribute to design of disaster recovery and contingency plans to protect company data.
  • Testing Information Technology (IT) Performance 5: Perform website/applications software tests and respond to user emails to monitor, diagnose, and correct performance issues.
  • Horizon Scanning 6: Explore and develop a detailed understanding of external developments or emerging issues and contribute to the evaluation of their potential impact on, or usefulness to, the organization.
  • Faults Diagnosis and Correction 6: Provide fault isolation and resolution for complex challenges to limit and address issues promptly.

What you'll bring


Technical knowledge expectations:

Operating system: 
•    Knowledge of operating systems Windows, Linux, MacOS (Client and Servers) and network protocols.
•    Understanding of security configurations of operating system for system hardening and securing privileged access.

Platform (On-prem & Cloud):
•    Knowledge of VMware environments, including vSphere and vCenter, with experience managing vulnerabilities in virtualized infrastructures.
•    Understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and experience with cloud security controls and vulnerability management in cloud environments.

Deployment tools:
•    Experience with patch management solutions (e.g., Microsoft SCCM, WSUS, or Linux deployment solution) to coordinate and oversee patch deployment efforts across diverse environments.
•    Knowledge of NIST, ISO27001, PCI-DSS, and CIS benchmark and security hardening policies.

Automation Tools: 
•    Familiarity with automation frameworks (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef) and scripting languages like Python, PowerShell.
