As a Data and Analytics Tech Lead, you will drive digital innovation by leading critical technology initiatives with global teams. You’ll design and implement solutions impacting millions worldwide, supporting Volvo’s vision for autonomous, electric, and connected vehicles.

What you'll do

Technical Leadership & Development
•    Lead development and implementation using DAX, Data Modelling, Power BI, Reports and dashboards, Service Administration, Snowflake, and Snowflake Architecture.
•    Design, build, and maintain scalable solutions supporting global operations.
•    Collaborate with APEC stakeholders across product management and engineering teams.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
•    Partner with international teams using Microsoft Teams, Slack, SharePoint, and Azure DevOps.
•    Participate actively in Agile processes and sprint planning.
•    Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation across regions.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement
•    Research and evaluate emerging technologies to enhance platform capabilities.
•    Contribute to roadmap planning and architecture decisions.
•    Mentor junior team members and foster knowledge sharing initiatives.

What you'll bring

Professional Experience
•    8+ years in data engineering or a similar role, with at least 2 years in a tech lead or team leadership capacity.
•    Proven, hands-on expertise with Snowflake, including architecture, performance tuning, and administration.
•    Deep knowledge of Power BI, including DAX, data modeling, report development, and service administration.
•    Strong proficiency in designing, building, and deploying APIs and microservices using languages
•    Expert-level SQL skills and strong programming skills in at least one language (Python strongly preferred).
•    Nice to have: Familiarity with DevOps/DataOps principles and CI/CD pipelines. - Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Knowledge of data orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Dagster, Prefect).
•    Experience collaborating effectively with global teams across multiple time zones.
•    Industry knowledge in automotive, manufacturing, or enterprise software (preferred).

Technical Skills
•    Advanced proficiency in DAX, Data Modelling, Power BI, Reports and dashboards, Service Administration, Snowflake, and Snowflake Architecture.
•    Strong understanding of cloud platforms, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
•    Experience with enterprise integration patterns and microservices architecture.
•    Proficiency in database design and optimization using SQL and NoSQL technologies.
