What you’ll do
Are you passionate about cloud services, agile development and delivering concrete business value? We are looking for an ‘Cloud Engineer’ to strengthen our cloud platforms in specific but also within IT infrastructure technologies, ecosystems, and governance. As Volvo Cars is on an ambitious journey to modernize our current infrastructure landscape by utilizing modern cloud services and to keep our environment up to date with latest release, we are looking for skills that could help us bridge and transform technology and services from datacenter centric to cloud centric solutions. Your primary task will be to build and update our Enterprise Scale Foundation service and generally the CI/CD pipeline that we use to implement our services IaC (infrastructure-as-code). Our ambition is "everything-as-code" so you must have a good and broad understanding of Cloud IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS as well as the code to tie it all together. Requirements, you will have:

  1. Knowledge and working experience on Enterprise Scale Foundation Service, Management Groups, Subscriptions, Dashboards, and overall, Azure Governance
  2. Work with CAF, Landing Zones, and Guardrails (IAM, Policy, etc.)
  3. Azure new services release and functionalities
  4. Designing and implementing of cloud governance policies
  5. Contribute to technical initiatives in the internal cloud infrastructure by delivering the internal methods/methodologies/principles into the customer projects.
  6. Co-operate with other infra teams like Network and Identity Team to bring our platform to a higher level. 
  7. Experience working on Cloud Security framework/benchmarks e.g. CIS1.40, ISO27002:2013, etc.

 

  1. You have hands-on experience with creating CICD pipelines for the Azure Infrastructure with different technologies: Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
  2. You have good knowledge of Terraform, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, YAML, Bicep, Python, Go.
  3. If you have knowledge of security and compliance in the automotive sector is a big plus.
  4. Experience working on Crossplane, means creation XRD, CRD, XR, is big plus.
  5. If you have experience on 'Documentation as a Code' is big plus.
  6. Ability to multitask and prioritize work requirements, aligned with Product Owner requirement.
  7. You speak English fluently (written and spoken).
  8. You are very communicative and collaborative.

  1. Public Azure Cloud Certifications: AZ-400

You have a technical interest and documented experience of working with Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services. You have worked with suppliers and are comfortable with the dialogues related to both critical operations and development. You are experienced in agile development methodologies (SAFe or similar) and working in product teams.

You are data driven in your approach to decision making and measuring your successes. Lastly, you are fluent in English, both verbally and written.
