What you’ll do

• Carry out indirect sourcing activities of assigned logistics commodities and services for China region.
• Collect PR and process PR to PO in a timely manner. Track PO acknowledgement, and ensure supplier delivery on time. Lead commodity RFQ or bidding projects.
• Sourcing potential suppliers and initiate potential supplier shortlist for assessment and qualification.
• Develop supplier base and monitor supplier’s performance and encourage supplier to keep up with continuous improvement on cost, quality, delivery and service.
• Achieve all performance metrics for assigned suppliers and commodities.
• Ensure that project goals, schedules and performance requirements are achieved.
• Secure most favourable supplier contracts and agreements to meet the dynamic needs of the business.
• Analysis and controlling of contractual agreements to prepare renegotiations/subsequent negotiations, initiate appropriate measures and guarantee supplies.
• Manage ongoing supplier cost, quality, delivery, technology alignment, and service.
• Maintain detailed understanding of supplier capabilities, industry trends and market conditions.
• Supplier management to gain the best suppliers and guarantee an optimum supply chain.
• Ensure company and regulatory policy compliance.
• To maintain Volvo commercial database to meet business development requirements.
• Other jobs assigned by manager.

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor degree or above, major in logistics or business management.
• At least 5 years’ logistics service sourcing experience. Automotive industry experience is preferred.
• Good communication skill in Chinese and English.
• Well-known the business suppliers of service area locally and globally.
• Strong negotiation skills with supplier, coordination & organization capability with cross functions.

• Proactive communication skills with a positive attitude, integrity and professionalism.
• Focus on quality and interest of improvement of daily business work methods.
• Ability to work proactively, independently and from time to time on travelling basis.
• Sense of responsibility, strong personality and high skill of teamwork as well as work under pressure.
• Good skill of MS office software, basic operation of SAP.
• Familiar with cost analysis tools and good negotiation skills.
• Capability to organize and lead purchasing activity with cross function team.
• With good communication skills & teamwork.
