App Release and Quality Manager

Summary of the role

We are seeking an App Release and Quality Manager APAC to lead the project management and execution of regional launch activities and quality improvements. You will need to be a world class project manager capable of coordinating and tracking regional & global launch requirements and actions, managing challenges and adapting when necessary. As the local lead for these launches, you will own the success of these launches in our APAC region.

What you’ll do
•    Manage the launch of Volvo Cars consumer mobile apps and updates for our Asia Pacific markets
•    Continuous review and improvement of our Volvo Cars app launch process and testing, involving input and collaboration with local market stakeholders, APAC regional product teams, and Central headquarters product teams
•    Coordinate and lead the implementation of quality actions by working with process partners across departments.
•    Create app and feature release plans for each market by working with global and regional product teams and incorporating specific market needs
•    Lead the communication of launch plans to global, regional, and market stakeholders
•    Work with other departments as needed to ensure smooth product launches
•    Coordinate level 2 operations support related to the mobile app
•    Work closely and be a partner with the APAC Mobile Experience product managers

What you’ll bring
•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
•    A minimum of 5-8 years of relevant professional experience in a project management focused role
•    Deep experience and knowledge of software and mobile app testing and methodologies
•    Relevant experience and knowledge on planning & execution of product launches
•    Excellent English communication and presentation skills, both written and spoken
•    Entrepreneurial thinking and assertiveness, to survive in a fast-moving international organization dedicated to the growth with a penchant for problem solving
•    Excellent team player skills and proven ability to work in cross-functional teams
•    Mobile app or automotive industry experience is a plus
•    Self-driven work style
To be successful, you will need to have experience in bringing new products to market and have exceptional skills at building and managing relationships between different internal teams. You should understand how to communicate needs and requirements clearly but also how to ensure stakeholders follow through and execute on time and at a high standard. This will require the ability to adapt and change based on the dynamic needs of the projects. You will be organized and a great communicator with a talent for finding ways to hit deadlines.
