Senior Software Engineer

Job Description: 

Senior Software Engineer positions offered by Volvo Car USA LLC (Ridgeville, SC). Lead various technical teams to incident resolution.  Analyze & troubleshoot integrations between applications. Provide technical solutions for evolving business processes within existing applications. Work with stakeholders to plan, schedule and supervise application maintenance.  Support technical development within the team across product areas. Perform coding, bug fixes, and new software development. Coordinate, follow up and secure accurate testing in the appropriate areas. Seek opportunities for improvement and work with cross functional teams to ensure successful implementation. Work with the business partners in identifying project business value and provide direction for the business in creating multiple, interrelated functional specifications and their translation to IT design requirements. Define and review requirements and use cases for the applications. Perform technical design of configuration, build objects, reports, and interfaces according to business requirements. Create application documentation including accurate support documentation for the support teams.

Minimum Requirements: 

Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in computer science or a related field and 10 years of experience in the job offered or 10 years of experience performing software development and engineering. Also requires 10 years of experience: using Core Java, RESTful Web services, Spring, Hibernate, Spring Boot, Microservices, Oracle PL SQL, and Splunk; designing, analyzing and managing with Oracle DB, MSSQL DB and Mongo DB; and performing systems integration. Requires 7 years of experience working in Agile development methodologies. Employee reports to office in Ridgeville, SC. Position may work from home, but must live within commuting distance of stated office. Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.
