What you’ll do

You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day activities of the New Car Sales Team and contributing to the maximisation of orders and registrations which support the Volvo Direct to Consumer journey. The role is critical to the service provided to customers and to delivering the sales objectives of the New Car Sales Team and VCUK. Following up customer enquiries, arranging test drives and retailer appointments, customer order updates and assisting consumers along the sales process e.g., credit box checks

 

Your key deliverables will include:

  • First point of contact for inbound retailer enquiries
  • Respond to all enquiries via telephone, email, chat, text and video with the aim of moving the consumer further along the journey
  • Build rapport with customers through friendly, engaging communication
  • Process enquiries appropriately on the CRM system (Salesforce) to enable future follow-up
  • Perform against a range of KPI’s , including commercial, consumer and operational
  • Captures and records detailed consumer information in the CRM, based not only on the basic hygiene information, but additional insight to allow for when to advise a consumer a holistic solution/offering, to include accessories and packages
  • Build and maintain consumer relationship throughout consumer journey
  • Perform outbound follow up call to consumers, using notes from previous calls to support the seamless consumer experience
  • Proactively contribute ideas and suggestions for improving our customer’s experience
  • Work collaboratively with our Customer Relations department to ensure all sales-related customer requests can be handled effectively
  • Liaise with our retailer partners (Volvo dealer network) to ensure a seamless omnichannel customer journey
  • Develops and maintains good relationships with stakeholders, retailers, customers and relevant industry bodies and regulatory bodies
  • Continually evaluates the effectiveness of their own performance and seeks to improve.
  • Contributes to team meetings and shares ideas for how to improve the function or wider business
  • Provides leading-edge services ensuring that VCUK retains its competitive edge as a premium service provider
  • Achieves and maintains a SAF accreditation as relevant to the legislation
  • Achieves and maintains all areas of required competence, including QA assessments


What you’ll bring

The successful candidate will have: 

  • Highly organised and understanding of sales process
  • Good communication skills (oral and written) with great presentation and influencing
  • Ability to build rapport and understanding with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Use of Microsoft Office, e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Previous experience of CRM systems, such as Salesforce
  • Proven track record of adapting to various styles and high standard of customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrates resilience, self-motivation, and a commitment to self-development, actively seeking positive feedback
  • Highly adaptable and positive to changes in assignments and priorities
  • Able to communicate positively with colleagues and customers at all levels with confidence
  • Calm under pressure with an organised nature and strong attention to detail
  • Understands the needs of both customers and the company and demonstrates this in their work
  • Takes ownership in all aspects of their role, working without close supervision and demonstrating effective self-management
  • Systematic and process-oriented way of working
  • Relevant FCA qualifications
