Senior Product Manager Convert

What we are looking for

An experienced digital Product Manager to oversee web pricing and payment products on the US Learn and Shop Product team.  

 

As a Senior Product Manager, Product Offer and Pricing at Volvo Cars, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and optimization of our web pricing and payment products on the US Learn and Shop Product team.  You will work closely with stakeholders across various departments to identify requirements, gather feedback, and prioritize features and improvements.  

 

The Senior Product Manager will be part of the Volvo Cars America “Learn & Shop” team and responsible for end-to-end delivery of solutions for consumers to have confidence in the pricing of their new car and convert shoppers into buyers.

 

This role will be focused on providing Volvo shoppers with the ability to calculate accurate payments and where possible convert this to an online deposit (for new and pre-order vehicles) directly with Volvo retailers.  Payment calculator and checkout experience to include several features, such as locally accurate tax and fee calculations, ability to submit a credit check, and add accurate trade-in valuations and available incentives.  This role will be responsible for integration of these tools to enable transparent and accurate pricing for the consumer.

 

This role holds responsibilities for US and Canadian markets, and is headquartered in Mahwah, NJ. This role will work closely with US-based engineering teams as well as digital product counterparts in Sweden.  

 

Responsibilities to include:

  • Create a vision for products and build a roadmap to achieve that vision, working closely with colleagues in Gothenburg to utilize globally available tools as much as possible. Define and communicate the vision and strategy for US pricing and payment products, ensuring alignment with the overall product roadmap
  • Conduct user research and identify usage metrics to understand user needs, pain points, and opportunities for improvement
  • Work closely with design, engineering, and data teams to develop and launch new features and improvements to the web pricing and payment products
  • Define a US roadmap in partnership with teams in Gothenburg to utilize globally available tools as much as possible.
  • Maintain and optimize products to maximize conversion and customer experience.
  • Work with business leaders to align with objectives, set benchmarks, and track performance.
  • Collaborate with engineers and UX team to build and deploy features, this will include (but not limited to payment calculator, taxes and fees, credit check, trade-in and incentives).
  • Plan releases and roadmaps to align to our automotive product marketing and sales schedules (e.g. pre-order and launch experiences).
  • Deliver a compelling story about your products through analytics and visual presentation.

 

What you will bring:

  • 10 years product management experience, 5-7 years' experience for consumer-facing brand.
  • Comprehensive understanding of ecommerce payment and pricing products
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with user research and product analytics  
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with the business, product, engineering, and UX.
  • Experience working on websites or applications with transactional/ecommerce functionality.
  • Experience working with Scrum or Agile product development teams.
  • Experience working in Google Analytics and a solid understanding of metrics that drive conversion.
  • Ability to organize requests and prioritize according to business needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Effective presentation skills and experience engaging audiences of all levels.
  • Experience conducting user research.

 

Preferred candidates will have the following:

 

  • Experience working in a global/international environment.
  • Automotive industry experience is desirable, but not essential.

 

Candidates must be able to lead in a hybrid work environment, and available in the Mahwah, NJ office 3 days a week.
