What We Are Looking For

The Assist and Support team in our Mahwah Tech Hub is in search of an intern to work alongside our engineering team that will develop new technical processes, solutions, and ideas for our applications. At Volvo Cars, our Assist and Support team is an integral collaborator with our product, data, and global areas that support our customers and retailers.

A day in the life:

Support and work alongside the development of Salesforce products from increment all the way through deployment and beyond.

Investigate engineering issues by applying critical thinking, analytic skills, and work closely with the team to develop effective solutions.

Assist in the day-to-day administration of our Salesforce environment, Salesforce support, and work to find areas of continuous improvement and the reduction of technical debt.

Act as a liaison between product teams, developers, and engineers to demystify technical issues.

Support efforts to modernize our landscape from legacy systems (AIX, IBM) to cloud environments (Azure, AWS).

Foster knowledge retention by helping to create and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and configurations.

What you bring to Volvo:

  • Bachelor or masters degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong critical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and willingness to learn technical tools/programmatic languages.

Confidence in tackling complex technical challenges independently, demonstrating your ability to analyze issues and implement effective solutions.

You might also have:

  • Experience with Salesforce development or administration
  • Experience in computing languages (Salesforce Apex, JS, Python, Shell, etc.)
