The TMS is at the heart of our global outbound operations and the primary driver behind our transport logistics. The Global TMS Solution Deployment Expert position is critical to ensure that our distribution systems and tools run smoothly and are fit for future. In this role, you will act as our in-house expert and will ensure that our Volvo cars get from A to B smoothly, efficiently, and innovatively.
You will be part of the Global Outbound Quality & Deployment team located in Gothenburg (Sweden) and you will work in an international environment together with colleagues based in the US and China. 

What you’ll do

You will steer the development and enhancement of the outbound execution systems globally, to ensure that the needed business capabilities for our finished vehicles distribution are secured, both in the present and future. You will be a key piece of our transformation and will lead:
•    System Functionality Development:
o    Define business processes and identify related system capabilities 
o    Participate in and lead investigations, pre-studies and user acceptance ests driven by needed changes
o    Work closely with IT and vendor support teams to implement and test new features
•    System Management:
o    Oversee and maintain the TMS platform, ensuring its effective functionality and integration with other systems
o    Manage and maintain business owned master data in the TMS
o    Implement and maintain routes and transport methods within the systems
o    Follow up on deviations, solve logistical errors and apply long-term solutions
o    Support application change requests together with business stakeholders
•    Collaboration & Strategy:
o    Assist management in strategic decisions by providing data-driven recommendations
o    Collaborate with surrounding teams (engineering, operations, digital) to ensure alignment of transportation strategies.

What you`ll bring?

•    Relevant experience of at least +10 years in supply chain and logistics
•    Experience implementing and configuring TMS systems in an OEM environment
•    Experience working in or implementing ProAct TMS is desirable
•    Experience in supporting / managing IT applications
•    Ability to work in, and understand multiple systems and their interactions
•    Project management skills
•    Ability to prioritise in a high demanding area and to develop and maintain cross-functional and global networks
•    Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
•    Good communication and cooperative skills and fluency in English (written/spoken) 
•    Knowledge of the Volvo IT systems (ATACQ, TMS, Ihub, Vista) are meritorious
