About the Role: 

The Audio Systems group within the Mech In and HW department is responsible for HW-, SW- and System development of all car audio functionality. Apart from the sound systems (amplifier and speakers) the responsibility also includes systems like ANC (Active Noise Control), Microphones, Bluetooth Handsfree and Exterior Sound for Hybrid/Electrical vehicles. Project Management and Audio Tuning is also part of the group’s responsibilities. Our daily work includes transforming ideas into innovations to meet the high standards of future vehicles. We use the latest technologies and advanced methods within the audio field and with the launch of the new audio content in the new SPA platform, we are in the forefront of audio technology in cars.

Do you fit the profile?

Within Audio System team we are looking for professionals and enthusiastic Lead Engineer, who will drive project related items related to audio systems responsibility.

As a person, you are self-motivated to deliver on time, on target and with quality. You have very good communication skills and are a team player. Flexibility and a growth mindset are important qualities to possess.

• Drive overall project plans for specific components and SW.
• Drive suppliers to deliver on time and with quality.
• Being proactive and a part of the solution in technical matters.
• Synchronise HW, SW etc internally with the car programs and plants.

Meritorious:

• University degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
• Experience from working as a lead engineer at Volvo Cars
• Documented project management skills
• Ability to take decisions and documented leadership skills.
• Fluent in English, both verbally and written
• Knowledge of Agile ways of working
