Who We Are:

SWEP Solution Support, Quality & Launch is an integral part of Volvo's journey to improve quality and customer satisfaction. Our focus spans the entire product lifecycle, from launch in the plant to end customer usage, with a goal to reduce failures and enhance product quality. Quality & Launch comprises three dedicated teams: Launch, Plant Vehicle Team (PVT), and Current Model Quality (CMQ). The CMQ team operates in a challenging and dynamic environment, responsible for engineering functions and products within the Product Stream, emphasizing quality issues and customer satisfaction.

 

What You'll Do:

As a quality engineer with SWEP's CMQ team, your responsibilities will be multifaceted and impactful. You'll be tasked with scoping and leading the analysis of upcoming quality concerns, analyzing returned field material, and driving Interim Containment Actions (ICA) and Permanent Corrective Actions (PCA) to ensure product and process integrity. Leading Top and Critical Concern resolutions will be a key part of your role, as will maintaining a broad contact network to ensure alignment across all our plants. Collaboration through cross-functional networks will also be essential, making your role pivotal in maintaining and improving product quality.

 

Who You Are:

You are an analytical and structured professional with experience in quality resolution. Your technical understanding spans from theoretical solutions to end customer applications, including suppliers and manufacturing processes. Ideally, you have experience in development and product knowledge, preferably within SWEP. Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are crucial. A university degree or equivalent experience in the relevant area, experience in supplier collaboration, and knowledge of DMAIC (Six Sigma methodology) are meritorious. Additionally, theoretical and practical knowledge in Software, Electronic Hardware, Mechatronics, ability to analyze SW fault codes, and OTA2 knowledge will be advantageous.
