Department Manager - Sr./Director of Core System Component

What you'll do

 

As Department Manager (Sr./Director of Core System Component in SWEP Business Unit (SW & Electronics Platform), you will be overall responsible of Product strategy, Product development delivery and Team & Competence build-up. SWEP CSC department covers Electronics hardware of core-computer, ADPM (AD/ADAS Domain Controller), and Entire Zone Controller and LPC (Low Power Controller) products. You will work closely will cross-functional team to deliver Zone controller and LPC, especially application SW functional owners, with a crucial role of Enabling and Governance role.
 

Main responsibilities:

  • Lead product strategy and roadmap of SWEP Core System Components product portfolio.
  • Build and continuously optimize in-house SW and Electronics development competence and operation structure.
  • Team build-up and development inline with competence strategy,  and global site strategy optimization
  • Optimize product engineering process for in-house SW & Electronics smooth execution on-time, on-spec, on-cost and build-in-quality.
  • Collaborate with all relevant stakeholders across entire global engineering, especially various functional owner, to boost co-work together between Platform SW and Application SW.
  • Lead make-or-buy development strategy implementation and supplier governance.
  • As part of SWEP leadership, support to drive the SWEP strategy goals implementation, based on expectation.

To be successful in this role, we also believe that you have: 

  • A masters degree with a major among: Electronics, Computer Science, SW engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation etc
  • Experience of in-house AutoSar SW & Electronics product development experience from either OEM or Tier-1 suppliers, it is a plus to have Domain Controller or Zone Controller development experience directly.
  • Multiple years of experience of team management in people leadership position, with a relatively big team size (expect to be at least 80 developers)
  • Experience of leading through leaders and have experience of global team management.
  • Solid experience of supplier technical management and governance
  • Good communication in English
