Workplace Manager, APeC

In order to further strengthen the organization’s abilities to meet todays and future challenges, it has been decided to establish a Global Workplace Management organization, with the overall responsibility of global real estate as well as workplace management.

Volvo Cars is now looking for a manager to Head of Project APeC region. This position shall strengthen a team that in cooperation with the global organization and site / plant FM coordinates and operates project & Engineering to achieve strategic and operational alignment, process and cost efficiency in a manner that ensures leading-edge management in new Apec project & Engineering works.


What will you do?

You will work to strengthen the sub-function in APeC to support current and future needs to support, operate and coordinate project & Engineering management to achieve strategic alignment, process and cost efficiency in a manner that ensures leading-edge management in all aspects related to Project & Engineering, including:

  • Global real estate new project & upgrade project
  • Support to define, develop and implement global strategies and concepts
  • Coordinate and implement global ways of working, processes and standards
  • Drive efficiency, optimization and improvement 
  • Rich experience in facilities and design


You and your skills:

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience within facility management, purchasing, or equivalent
  • Vast APeC experience
  • Proven ability to drive change initiatives
  • Minimum Master´s degree or equivalent within relevant area
  • Fluent in English
  • Good leader in change
  • Coaching abilities with ability to ask the right questions
  • Proven ability to cooperate/collaborate with different stakeholders to assure alignment
  • Have courage to initiate and fully implement changes required
  • Expertise knowledge and understanding required, to identify what is needed and use relevant experts’ knowledge
  • Good track record in cost analyze and follow up
  • Proven Customer relationship development ability
  • High integrity and ethical leadership
