Senior Transportation Planning Manager/高级运输规划经理

The role is one of the core management member of Asia Pacific Inbound Logistics Team.  He or she will manage a team of Engineers in Transportation Strategic Planning function located in Shanghai and Transportation Tactical Planning function located in factories in Asia Pacific. The Transportation Network includes all modes of transportation from direct material suppliers in China and all over the world to production facilities in Asia Pacific. This position will act as the interface between Inbound Logistics Team and many other functions inside the company for Transportation Network Planning and Optimization works.

 

What you will do

Lead the team to perform Transportation Network Model & Design, Route Optimization & Implementation, Material Supplier and Carrier Phase-in and Phase-out, etc.

Manage Transportation Network Tending and RFQ

Lead the team to do Annual Transportation Budget Plan, Rolling Forecast and Variance Analysis for all AP factories and for all transportation modes

Lead Transportation Optimization to Support Lean Operations

Standardize the Tactical Planning Procedures and Extend the best practices to all facilities

Ensue master data maintenance for TMS are timely completed

Manage Transportation Business Application and support systems for all other teams in Inbound Logistics AP

As the leader from Logistics function to lead or support the new car programs or other projects.

 

You and your skills

Bachelor or Master degree in Supply Chain/Logistics Management or Engineering, MBA is a plus

Minimum 8 years’ experience in Transportation Management and 5 years’ experience in management roles in MNC companies. Strong Experience in Transportation Planning and Management experience in large scale transportation with different transportation modes.

Strong understanding and experience of Transport Management System and transport network,  preferably experience from the automotive industry

Strong understanding of carrier and forwarder operations. Strong Experience in Automotive/Industrial Equipment OEM or large Tier 1 suppliers or large global forwarder companies required.

Excellent communication skills on all levels, ability to explain complex scenarios on a management level, as well as to communicate findings and make recommendations that drive change.

Solid project management skills

Strong quantitative and analytical skills

Strong networking  capabilities and team player

Excellent English and Chinese language skills
