Manufacturing Engineer (ME Body)/制造工程师(车身方向)

What you will do


You will lead the cross technical product and production manufacturing work as well as represent Manufacturing during prepare and implement phase within their own commodity area within Volvo Cars, which means: Ensures product and process feedback to R&D in order to fulfil the manufacturing attributes (quality, man hours, cost efficiency, environment, flexibility, and change over).Leads and coordinates manufacturing process activities within R&D design responsibility area.Describes and visualizes assembly and control methods and issues PII (Process and Inspection Instruction).Performs the DPA5 (Digital Pre Assembly) within the area.Develops efficient (man hour & layout) and ergonomic work methods.Update and input to steering system for production control.Verifies according to the AVB (analyze and verification need) plan, virtual and physical.Secure development and timing of needed equipment.Analyses and verifies the manufacturing requirements virtually and physically.Introduce change order and update PII for running production.

Identifies needs of new error proofing and quality assurance 'systems' or update existing.Deliver Manufacturing Approval (BGK, PGK) and consequence judgements on VPC (Volvo Part Concerns) for each delivery unit.Initiate and perform Process FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis).Give input on status and deviations in decided system/tools for sum up of gateways and milestones.   

You will deliver a product- and process solution according to manufacturing requirements.Drive virtual and physical verification in order to secure manufacturing requirements.Report Manufacturing Approval at R&D Design Reviews.Create needed process instructions (PII and TPII).Plan in detail, specify functions and needs for equipment in cooperation with Tooling.Deliver required input on status and deviations in decided systems/tools.Secure lessons learned to all concerned (e.g. input and feedback to the ME requirements to Core).Simultaneously design feedback to R&D.Responsible for assembly method over time within decided responsibility area.

You will mandate to take decisions within given frames and decided strategies


You and Your Skills


Technical competence at senior high school / university level.Practical experience of the production process.Knowledge about the processes, methods, and tools at Manufacturing and R&D.Strong ability for cross functional and multi-cultural teamwork.English in spoken and written.
