Summary of the role:
Volvo Cars aims to be the fastest transformer within the automotive industry. This specially includes the transformation to become a software company. The software quality data analyst will work within the Future Consumer Quality team to support Volvo Cars mission to quality assure software and new functions before they reach our customers.


What you will do?

  • Analyze quality data such as software integration scenario and testing data, car logged data, repair order data etc.
  • Convert data and findings from multiple sources into understandable conclusions and recommendations.
  • Discover systematic issues by exploring data or reviewing current business principles.
  • Support the build-up of a software factory, to secure the right process, methods and tools to achieve best in class product quality.
  • Develop solutions for analysis and visualization using tools such as Power BI and Python.
  • Create a business understanding to support the value flow with the correct data or tools.
  • Support ad-hoc investigation related to quality top concerns.
  • Work close together with stakeholders within the quality team, product development teams, digital teams and other business stakeholders.
  • Translate analytical findings into the language of decision makers supported by visual representation and communicate effectively on different levels.

Why do you fit the profile?

  • 5+ years’ experience of working as a data analyst or similar
  • Master’s degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, software or equivalent
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Programming skills (such as Python and R) and the desire to work with code
  • Experience of working with big data platforms and cloud-based environments
  • Experience in visualization tools such as Power BI or equivalent
  • Experience from working with software product teams within the automotive industry 
  • A self-starter who enjoys problem solving and thrives on working with complex data sets
  • Able to work with multiple stakeholders and comfortable in presenting findings and insights in a clear and concise manner
  • Courage to take the initiative and drive for progress
  • Strong passion for driving quality and customer experience
  • A team player with strong collaboration skills and willingness to share experiences
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) in local language and fluency in English
