(Sr.) Lead Engineer - Thermal Management Calibration and Test

Volvo Cars China vehicle propulsion Dept. is looking for a thermal management test and calibration Engineer. This engineer will be responsible for the thermal management Software application from the Requirements&Specification, through the coding, to calibration and validation work to program release for HEV, FHEV application.

What will you do?

  • Develop the test scripts for both in-housing testing and testing by suppliers
  • Maintain and update the Thermal management software requirement and specifications
  • Conduct the detail inspection such as Pressure, temperature analyze to identify the root cause failure
  • Calibrate and optimize the thermal management control to balance the thermal load, NVH, electrical parts energy consumption
  • Create and modify calibration procedures
  • Troubleshooting, calibrate the thermal management control in support of new projects
  • Generate reports, records in calibration database
  • Part of the team work for the test result analyze and define the solution.


You and your skills:

  • Experience with instrumentation and data acquisition systems, like INCA
  • Experience with CAN communication and analysis software.
  • Knowledge with HIL test, and software release process
  • Knowledge with simulink
  • Very good understanding for the Powertrain working principle and cooling system interaction.
  • Driving, structured, good analytical skills and a great technical interest
  • Understanding of Product Development processes
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Min. 5 years of experiences in flow / heat exchange / GT-suite simulation/ Thermal management system
  • High integrity and professionalism
