Summary of the role:
- To develop methods and techniques for equipment in the production, lead and execute industrialization projects for the production units to fulfil the defined quality, lead time, cost efficiency, safety/health/environment, flexibility, change over. The areas of activity are Volvo Cars plants.
What you will do?
- Leads or executes equipment projects (develops, calculates, plans, TSU, procures and verifies) for plants.
- Creates and analyses the equipment part of the process layouts.
- Performs safety-, reliability- and cost analyses.
- Performs Equipment FMEA.
- Develops equipment strategies, in some cases in an SMS (Subject Matter Structure) group as driver or participant.
- Initiates and leads AE (Advanced Engineering) and OD (Operational Development) assignments within the area of responsibility.
- Supports the running production (Industrial Engineering, Production and Maintenance) with second line analysis within the area of responsibility.
- Transfers competence within the area of responsibility to Production and Maintenance.
- Contributes in development of instructions and routines within the area.
- Participates in or leads relevant standard- and technical organizations within the area of responsibility with authority to represent Volvo Cars.
- Follows the decided working methods such as VPDS and applicable BMS routines and E-card / Buy off book.

- Equipment that fulfils all steps in the handing over to end user process
- Provide Lessons Learned to secure that we do not repeat mistakes both in Car programs and in support to running production
