Geometry Engineer/几何尺寸工程师

Main responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Final Demand achievement in each area of vehicle, support for the system from Single parts to Final vehicle both in running and project.
  • Drive cross-function geometry work within responsible system area both in running and project.
  • Provide System Solution for problem solving both in 1st analysis and 2nd analysis.
  • Responsible for MP Drawing updating and releasing.
  • Responsible for the analysis and verification needs for geometry in each area.
  • Lead the product verification and pre-matching in nominal module, pre-matching equipment and on geometry body within each geometry system area.
  • Lead the "Geometry team" during launches (KU, SQM, ME and Supplier).
  • Responsible to establish and compile Geometry Deviation Reports. The reports shall also include the VQDC situation, Audit remarks and action plans.
  • Responsible to report final demands related product problems in VQDC and shall be verification responsible.
  • Leads the selection and agreement of capability points (CPT).
  • Transfer Lessons Learned to new programs.
  • Judge and define additional measuring requirements for analysis in best way and give interpretation and suggestion based on the measurements.
  • Proactive to send alarms to Production by analyzing process data.
  • Analysis of results of Supplier Measurement and assessment of impact on final vehicle.
  • Conduct in depth Analysis of Measurement Results.
  • Recommendation & Evaluation of modifications and adjustments resulting from analysis in the plant.
  • Support production parameter technicians to run A-shop to C-shop geometry process coordination and maintaining.
  • Support for Supplier Fixture checking.
  • Support ME Body and ME TCF for fixtures Design review.
  • Support SQM/SGM/Supplier fixtures Design review.
  • Interface at the working level within the Volvo Geometry Network with similar responsible Engineers at all related Volvo establishments (e.g. VCT, VCG, VCBC, VCMM, etc.....).
  • Initiate updating of geometric requirements document and CMM Programme changes where defined as required (e.g. Target Values, Measuring and Capability Points, etc.)
  • Create the Weekly geometry indicators management status reports to inform factory management of the Geometry output, improvements, etc..

 

Qualifications  Required:

  • Bachelor Degree or above.
  • Majored in vehicle engineering or manufacturing is preferred.
  • More than 3 years’ working experience.
  • Automobile industry experience is preferred.
  • Be conversant with 2D drawing and 3D model software (CATIA\TC).
  • Be conversant with CM4D (Measurements Analysis tools).
  • Have a flexible approach to problem solving (6 sigma Level1 Certificated).
  • Have an understanding of Space Mathematics and System Kinematics.
  • Be fully conversant with the engineering, processes and production of all components in the identified area.
  • Be conversant with the analysis and reporting tools used in Volvo.
  • Good computer and MS office skills.
  • Good English in speaking & writing.
  • Good professionalism, strong team spirit.
