To within stamping geometry area lead and coordinate geometry work in new programs by:

  • Develop APAC Geometry Assurance function and work methods within the ME stamping Geometry department between the plants.
  • Develop and lead the Geometry Assurance robustness, capability and feasibility methods and tools for CO´s, projects, pre-series, and support running production.
  • Develop and ensure that the plant has the ability and prerequisites to fulfill geometric requirements in project phase
  • Deliver a quality assured product to customers regarding geometry
  • Follow up and analyse results of product performance as well as proposed actions together with process engineering regarding demand fulfilment
  • Support process engineer when deviations occur, include approve PSW with regards of geometry and input for target value settings
  • Secure reference points and demands in consultation with engineering team.
  • Choosing CPT points on the delivery parts and non-delivery parts in consultation with process engineer
  • responsible review and confirm checking equipment technical items
  • Feed the up-streams lessons learned and continuous improvement work towards Geometry methods to secure Volvo Cars business objectives.


  • Geometry assure systems and processes supporting the projects objectives and fulfilling specified PIST demands targets.
  • Geometry support to meet the Volvo Cars Q objectives for vehicles in program phase.
  • Geometry assurance Disciplines, Processes, Methods and Tools to be used by plants personnel.
  • Deliver efficient and timely root cause analysis, containment, and permanent fixes of geometrical or quality robustness Geometry systems or deliverables. 
  • Input and initiate Judgment events to maintain / improve geometrical quality with process engineer.

Competence Requirements

  • University degree, technical education or equivalent work experience
  • Experience from Pre-matching, Good process knowledge of stamping / body shop.
  • Good communication skills in English, oral and written
  • Experience or ability to assimilate ideas and adapt these to your own operations
  • Analytical thinking with an ability to structure and prioritize
  • Catia(basic/analysis), Teamcenter, CM4D, Scanning software
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Ability to maintain good "customer contact".
