Supplier Recovery Engineer

To perform technical analysis of returned warranty parts and negotiate with suppliers to determine the supplier’s responsibility (Warranty Recovery Rate).


Main Tasks

  • Plan and organize the analysis together with suppliers and internal product specialists
  • Create the “Parts Return” file
  • Extract and analyse warranty data
  • Perform pre–analysis together with product specialists
  • Plan and secure that material is sent to supplier from TMA
  • Actively influence suppliers test methods together with product specialists
  • Lead and secure that analysis is performed in a correct way
  • Perform the documentation during the analysis together with the supplier
  • Review and approve analysis result when the analysis is performed by the supplier
  • Negotiate regarding responsibility and determine warranty recovery rate
  • Distribute the agreed analysis result
  • Maintain a yearly plan for analysis for all concerned suppliers
  • Actively participate in improvement work
  • Inform CMQ about discovered quality and No Fault Found issues



  • Performing technical analysis of returned warranty material

Report to the APAC TMA & SR PO and scrum master.


Academic Qualifications Required

Bachelor Degree or above


Experience Required

5 years work experience in Customer Service, Warranty & Quality process.


Competence Requirements

  • Good knowledge within warranty, customer service, R&D and/or procurement processes.
  • Knowledge and understanding about cars and car components.
  • Good analytical ability.
  • A great communicator and excellent collaboration skills.
  • Good knowledge in negotiation.
  • Flexible and able to embrace changes, practive in a changing environment and with the ability to prioritize.
  • Result oriented, focused on delivering on time and budget, as well as following up result .
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • High general computer skills in MS Office.
  • Business acumen.
  • Structured and disciplined.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Positive attitude, high integrity and professionalism.
