Core Manager Batteries

Our business since its inception in 1991 has been to develop the best retail dealer system and information services for the automotive industry. In the current situation, we have about 100 employees with expertise in areas such as automotive trade, project management, systems and IT. Some of our largest customers are Volvo, Renault and Ford dealers and their general agents and today we have over 10 000 users of our solutions. We are seated in beautiful, newly renovated premises at Lindholmen in Gothenburg. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Volvo Car Sweden.

What you will do?

•    Be the “Go To” person for all questions / issues related to battery / core inventory management both internally and externally (including Polestar)
•    Inventory and classification of battery / cores according to battery type, part number, storage location, test history, SOH etc. 
•    Liaise and include in inventory Core Exchange & TMA batteries & cores.
•    Ensure batteries / cores are transferred to the designated destination including BC for analysis, sorting, repurposing
•    Coordinate and agree with Battery Lifecycle Services PO’s for batteries / core volume to go for remanufacturing / 2nd life applications
•    Liaise with 2nd life PO, PS&L and external partners to ensure correct batteries are distributed
•    Support BC with volume prognosis and flows 
•    Coordinate together with PS&L all transportation requirement including safe transportation methods including take back flows
•    Shipping of all test samples to recycler for quotation 
•    Operational contact with battery collectors / recyclers to ensure batteries are handled efficiently and in a timely manner and according to contract
•    Propose cost savings and efficiencies in the value chain including carbon footprint reduction
•    Support markets and Technical Support with questions regarding battery handling if needed?
 

 

Do you fit the profile?

•    You have a genuine interest and great curiosity in the subject matter
•    Good knowledge of high voltage batteries including battery safety and classification
•    Good organizational skills and inventory reporting including calculations of volumes and cost of recycling
•    Ability to coordinate activities between different parts of the company and external partners
•    Solution orientated and able to make clear recommendations and take decisions
•    You are a highly skilled Volvo Technician, Engineer or have a similar background preferable with good technical knowledge of electrical vehicle battery packs.
•    You who have a University degree or equivalent experience 
•    Leadership experience from similar projects or functions would be an advantage particularly within Production and Service Business processes
•    As we continuously work with improvements, you must have experience of improvement and efficiency work and be trained in lean or equivalent knowledge
•    Experience of working agile and knowledge in VCAFe is also preferable.
•    You can easily interact both within and outside your team, and have no problem communicating orally and written in English
•    We are looking for you who can lead and steer according to the business' values and goals. You must have a good strategic ability and be communicative. We value personal drive and ability to cooperate highly, as well as a businesslike way with the customer in focus.
•    You are customer focused, committed to quality and have prioritization skills to delivery in time
•    You should also have good computer skills and will be working in several different Volvo IT Systems
•    You are action oriented and have a mindset of finding new ways of working to continuously improve processes with focus on safety, efficiency and adding value to business
