Lead all technical work at design to support the Brand Strategy and Attributes

Safeguard the deliverables within the Design Attribute

Support the development of data used to produce physical models

Responsible design execution for production cars.

Assignments / Tasks


Senior Studio Engineer:


  • Responsible for team development
  • Lead and support program time plans, resources and project deliveries.
  • Represent Design within Business and Technical forums to secure Design intent.
  • Technically secure all deliveries form Design
  • Drive and lead technical issues for the design department in technical meetings
  • Challenge R&D and initiate alternative technical studies to find the best possible technical solution to meet the Design intentions and Design Leadership.
  • Take responsibility for the feasibility of the digital surface model according to agreed maturity in the Design process


Design Execution:


  • Secure Design Audit on Pre- serial, Serial cars and Complete Vehicle Judgment ,
  • Conduct OTG and Appearance Approval
  • Expertise in sign off OTG and AAR in relevant areas.
  • Evaluate form and surface finish quality on details from supplier to production


We would like you to have:


  • University Degree or equivalent experience
  • 7-10 Years’ experience from complete vehicle engineering or packaging
  • Good skills in CATIA V5 and Tce
  • Strong in relationships, own development and strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrates technical expertise in relevant areas
  • Ability to lead, challenge and delegate responsibility
  • Good knowledge in English, written and spoken.
  • Genuine interest in learning of 3D form and surface materials
  • Knowledge of  automotive products and materials
  • Knowledge in competitors set concerning quality levels
  • Knowledge in OTG and AAR processes
  • Experience form various suppliers and their processes


We would like you to be able to:


  • Good understanding of automotive business mind set.
  • Ability to create internal and external networks.
  • Capable of leadership and mentor new employees in functional area
  • Understand design sketches and be able to judge what technical solution that is needed to meet Design intentions.
  • Understand technical information from drawings and package models from R&D.
  • Understanding of how construction of tools impacts the DSM.
  • Explain in a good way to the DSM modeller and Designer how to take care of technical hard points.
  • High quality focus and awareness of customer expectations and complaints

  • Report design quality status at Studio Gateway DSM5, AA1 and AA2.
  • Evaluate and watch form and surface finish quality on details from supplier to production
  • Sign off OTG and AAR in relevant areas.
  • Evaluate and report the Design hard model AA1-AA2
  • Understand and lead Design Execution tasks along with PQ and SFG.
