Volvo Cars USA is looking for an Aftersales Market Manager to support after sales operational expertise in support of Retailers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aftersales business operations.
  • Meet or exceed market parts objectives
  • Responsible to development, implement, and sustain Retailer parts and accessories merchandising/marketing
  • Develop and perform Service Drive Reviews in order to identify out of line conditions and improve retailer performance in all aftersales activities
  • Communicate warranty performance and compliance.
  • Implementation of Regional and National aftersales initiatives
  • Inform Retailer employees in warranty and goodwill policies.
  • Responsible for resolution of customer contact issues at the Retailer level (includes coordination of buybacks, goodwill analysis, and litigation avoidance efforts).
  • Administration of Labor Rate Requests

  • Analytical skills - able to gather and use information logically to reach a clear understanding of situations and problems; able to investigate and identify root causes of issues and problems.

  • Consulting skills - ability to offer helpful advice and counsel to colleagues and customers.
  • Ability to utilize a PC to communicate and retrieve relevant information, as well as to conduct appropriate analyses.
  • To effectively employ all data elements and files in Aftersales IQ to analyse business operations with the goal of improving Retailer performance.
  • Evaluate retailer performance and make recommendations and implement action plans regarding retailers Aftersales business operations
  • Communicate best practices in order to improve Aftersales business and performance opportunities are retailer level
  • Handle customer contact issues and buy-backs while developing retailer personnel skills in customer handling/enhanced customer satisfaction.
    Experience Required:
  • Excellent knowledge of warranty and goodwill policies and practices, which is usually acquired through 5 or more years of experience in related positions.
  • Thorough knowledge of automotive business - including Retailer operations - with particular emphasis on aftersales operations, usually acquired through at least 5 years working at Retailer in the parts and/or service business or through working with Volvo and/or Retailer management.
  • Must have a working knowledge of automotive technology, which may be acquired through formal or informal experience.  Knowledge of the DMS (Dealer Management Systems) is desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree
