Senior Wholesale Pricing Analyst

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">This position is responsible for the ongoing monitoring and development of Volvo Car USA’s used car wholesale pricing algorithm and adjustment matrix used to price vehicles within our remarketing platform.  Responsibilities include liaising with the Remarketing and Finance teams of Volvo Car USA to develop and enhance pricing/remarketing strategy and analysis.  It will also assist in the monthly preparation and presentation of the residual value reporting package.

 

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">You will:

  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Monitor accuracy of wholesale market pricing algorithm and suitability of pricing adjustments throughout internal remarketing platform in order to mitigate residual value losses. 
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Work closely with Remarketing to drive optimal price realization for off lease vehicles, communicate motive and analysis behind pricing updates, and incorporate organizational expert judgement into pricing management.   
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Analysis to develop updates and improvements to pricing algorithm to increase accuracy and transparency.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Help manage Iteration sales strategy and pricing to engage dealers, maximize prices, and keep vehicles within Volvo’s dealer network.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Work with external vendor to implement algorithm and pricing matrix revisions and verify functionality and performance. 
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Optimize and calibrate pricing model variables across vehicle models, model years, power trains, remarketing regions, options packages. 
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Assist in remarketing platform performance tracking and reporting.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Ad-hoc analysis to maximize off lease realized values and directly contribute to the bottom line.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Monitor data integrity of both internal residual value metrics and external used vehicle sale results.
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Assist with ongoing development and improvement of monthly residual value reporting package.

 

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Education:

  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">BA/BS in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field required

 

<span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Experience

  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">3+ years in depth analytical experience required
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Relational database query experience preferred
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Financial/statistical modelling experience required
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Automotive industry experience preferred

  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Broad analytical skillset
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Proficiency manipulating and working with large datasets
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Financial/business acumen and quantitative expertise
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Ability to translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations
  • <span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">MS Excel proficiency, MS office experience
