Job Summary:           

This position is responsible to administer the day-to-day vehicle distribution process to, through, and from the United State Ports of Entry to Retailers or otherwise, in order to support the fulfillment of given delivery commitments.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains distribution and logistics relations with Retailers and the Volvo field organization.
  • Informs and educates Volvo field organization in Vehicle distribution/delivery related matters.
  • Establishes and/or provides short and long term forecasts to Vendors.
  • Plans and manages the normal day to day Vehicle Distribution process to, through and from one several Ports of Entry.
  • Coordinate with Regional field teams to develop and maintain regional production masks
  • Provides input to and participates as required in Vendor contract design and negotiations
  • Plan and coordinate with regional teams to support Auto-shows and various in-market related marketing materials
  • Administration of the day to day Vehicle Distribution process to, through and from the United States Ports.
  • Implement vehicle delivery holds and cancellations.
  • Coordinate Special Vehicle distribution moves, e.g. Show and Rental cars.


Key Competencies/Abilities:

  • BS in Business, Marketing or other relevant discipline required.
  • Minimum of 2 years corporate sales or logistics experience preferred.
  • Recognizes the need for teamwork and cross-organizational collaboration.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision, and as a part of a team.
  • Strong computer skills to communicate, analyze data, track trends, and retrieve relevant information.
  • Effectively handle multiple priorities in an efficient manner to meet customer demands. Possess strong multi-tasking abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
