Job Summary:          

The Regional Business Controller will be responsible to support steering the region towards their market earnings target. This role will work within the region, with a close link to the headquarters in Rockleigh, NJ. This role will focus on both corporate earnings as related to regional performance as well as the Retailer Profitability equation within the Region.


Primary Responsibilities:

Corporate Financial Management:

  • Maintain and steer the profit outlook for the Western Region.
  • Present monthly financial results to the region, with an understanding of key variances in order to measure performance.
  • Work closely with colleagues within the region to identify areas of profit opportunities and risks.
  • Drive revenue management through active participation in the mix and rates process.
  • Prepare business cases on investment proposals, with a clear demonstration of ROI.
  • Perform financial analysis on an ad-hoc basis and actively support RVPs financial requests as needed.
  • Build financial acumen within the region through participation and active involvement.


Retailer Profitability Business Management:

  • Perform various analysis of retailer composite reports and business management systems in order to assess the health of Retailer Profitability.
  • Prepare reporting on Retailer Profitability performance and identify key areas of opportunities and concerns.
  • Support market managers with composite analysis and KPI data as needed in order to track profitability by market.
  • Support underperforming retailers with ad hoc analysis to identify key areas of opportunities and concerns.
  • Support RVPs in various ad-hoc analysis.


Key Competencies/Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting supported by graduate degree in finance with 5+ years of related experience
  • Knowledge of the US automotive business and products is an asset. Specific knowledge of vehicle sales planning and automotive finance and leasing programs also an asset
  • Knowledge of forecasting tools and& methodology and ability to manage complex excel models
  • Apply appropriate technical and analytical skills to systematically analyze issues and data and use this information to make appropriate business recommendations
  • Ability to meet stringent deadlines with accuracy and efficiency
  • Strong PC proficiency with a high level of expertise in MS Excel and PowerPoint
