As the Technical Product Owner of Dealer Systems, in combination with our Networking & Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for the delivery of systems and infrastructure solutions implemented throughout Volvo Car’s retailer network in the Americas. In this role you will lead the development, roll-out and ongoing operational support of digital solutions within the Volvo Retailer facilities to provide an enhanced customer experience when obtaining service for their vehicles.   


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and deliver in-Retailer (dealership) technical solutions according to a local roadmap for Dealers System Products. Product Portfolio includes a Vehicle Wireless Network as well as a Vehicle Information and Diagnostics solution.   
  • Establish and lead an efficient and proactive support model for corporate and Retailer users of your Products meeting defined service level targets
  • Act as an escalation point for Products in Portfolio 
  • Work closely with the global Digital Product Owners escalating issues that might arise, and providing feedback regarding potential fixes or efficiency controls
  • Shape local requirements and business cases to influence the global product backlog of enhancement requests
  • Coordinate and manage rollouts of new systems and technologies to Retailers in the United States and Canada utilizing effective change management.
  • Develop Retailer technology Standards and collaborate with the Retailer Network Department on their implementation and compliance   
  • Develop, document, and drive the adoption of business processes to support Dealers Systems.

  • Established track record of producing high-quality deliverables while establishing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders
  • Excellent collaboration and relational skills; proficient working with and leading other skilled professionals towards common goals
  • Effective planning skills, focus on highest priorities, develop a thorough schedule and steps for achieving objectives that allocate resources precisely and uses milestones to diligently track and manage the progress of the work.
  • Optimizes work processes, knowing the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Communicates effectively by developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences
  • Vast knowledge of infrastructure technologies including but not exclusive to layer 1 through 3 network technologies, storage protocols, storage platforms, wireless, and authentication protocols
  • Establishes and maintains effective customer relations using customer insights to drive and guide the development of products and service offerings
  • Excellent trouble shooting skills utilizing and analytical approach to problem-solving  


Experience Required:

  • Minimum 5 plus years managing inhouse developed software and or hardware products in a retailer environment
  • Experience managing and coordinating vendors and third-party resources
  • Experience developing and maintaining processes within ServiceNow, Confluence, or Jira
  • Experience with Cisco Meraki products and platform a plus
  • Automotive Industry; OEM or Retailer experience a big plus



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems from an accredited college/university
  • ITILv4 Certification a Plus
