Job Summary

The Manager of Workshop Digital Solutions is responsible for the creation and implementation of a roadmap to the best in class digital ownership experience for our customers and dealers.  This individual will need to synergize ideas and products as well as generate organizational alignment with both internal and external stakeholders.  Bringing this journey to life will be critical in supporting our overall growth strategy, customer experience and retention objectives. Longer term, this individual will be responsible for thinking about how the service business continues to evolve, and what we can do to help support our dealer network in delivering a cutting-edge customer experience profitably.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Define a best-in-class short- and long-term digital ownership strategy, and create / execute the roadmap to enact this vision, as well as define the suite of products, tools, and processes dealers need to implement to support the digitized ownership experience Be the digital ownership “champion” for dealers and the field – generate awareness, support implementation, and monitor the penetration/utilization of these tools throughout the network
  • Be the customer service point of contact for the Volvo on Call team – help set and communicate priorities, plans, and timelines for the customer service functionalities within the Volvo on Call app (including Digital Service Booking) to ensure best-in-class user functionality and experience
  • Be the “telematics champion” for the US Customer Service organization – focus on securing data access, developing use cases, and executing initiatives that improve customer experience through vehicle telematics data
  • Be the “workshop capacity champion” for the US Customer Service organization – own the bay and technician capacity forecasting model, and identifying expected capacity constraints within the network, and work with the service processes team to support regional teams when digital solutions are the preferred option for addressing capacity issues


Key Competencies/Qualities

  • A Bachelor’s degree from a top tier university within a discipline requiring a strong analytical aptitude such as business administration or finance
  • Five to seven years of work experience within consulting, motor vehicle, or strategic planning
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to translate the results into actionable output
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Advanced proficiency within Excel and Access, and PowerPoint
  • Courage to stand up for own perspective, even when it may not be the most common opinion
  • A sense of curiosity for business problems with a bias for action, as well as a strong sense of practicality and effectiveness
  • Ability to coach, support, and steer team members through the process of developing and executing strategies that involve multiple stakeholders
