Job Summary: 


The Rockleigh Methods Workshop Intern will be involved and assisting in the daily tasks of the workshop. This will include the servicing and repair of Volvo vehicles. Along with these tasks, this individual will need to develop a presentation for the enhancement of the processing of our VELP and TEST vehicles. This presentation should include the current process and recommendations for enhancing/streamlining the process. This internship will allow for the utilization of learned skills at college along with the learning of new “on the job” skills that will enhance the overall development of the individual. 


Primary Responsibilities: 

  • To assist the Rockleigh Methods Workshop with everyday tasks that include: 

  • Processing VELP and TEST vehicles 

  • Repair Volvo vehicles using VCUSA Approved methods 

  • Assist Engineering department with special procedures/processes 

  • Assist with testing new technology for future dealer network adoption 

  • Assist and practice LEAN workshop efficiencies and help identify and prove out new processes/programs 


Key Competencies/Abilities: 

  • Currently enrolled in a college program that is geared towards the automotive/transportation industry 

  • Student in good standing (both attendance and grades) 

  • Good listener and Positive attitude along with being a self-starter that takes initiative
