The Mission:

We are looking for an experienced Diversity & Inclusion Lead to lead Volvo Cars in progressing, developing, and championing a truly diverse and inclusive culture across the Americas Region.

 

We will look to this key partner to strategize, and implement Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) programs, plans and initiatives. Working in close partnership with our employees, network of diversity groups and advocates as well as our Americas Management Team (AEMT), they will ensure Volvo Cars’ core values of diversity and inclusion are embedded throughout every element of our culture and our business operation.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Design, develop, and direct the delivery of D&I strategies and programs in close partnership with our key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Lead, support and facilitate our internal resource groups to drive momentum around D&I initiatives and programs.
  • Act as a coach to our leaders. Shape their roles as D&I champions, ensuring they have the information, tools, and support to ground their team culture and business operations in diversity and inclusivity.
  • Stay at the forefront of the Diversity and Inclusion landscape, remaining up-to-date on emerging topics and opportunities. Evaluate and incorporate that knowledge into Volvo’s culture and business
  • In partnership with our Talent Acquisition team, develop and champion a robust strategy to ensure diverse candidate slates and representation throughout the recruitment and hiring processes.  Coach our hiring managers on inclusivity in their hiring practices.
  • Actively engage with employees across the region and create effective feedback loops around our D&I progress.
  • Recognize blockers, break down ineffective systems, and implement practices to drive diversity, equity, and inclusion across our culture and throughout our business.
  • Gather and analyze data and metrics to support business decisions and plans.

 

What You Will Bring to Volvo:

  • 5-7+ years of professional experience within a Human Resources function, in which 3 years is directly overseeing and responsible for diversity and inclusion programs
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing diversity and inclusion, workplace culture strategies and leading a change management process
  • Effective communication & ability to influence all levels of the organization and partner easily with senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
  • Flexibility, compassion, and an innovative approach to problem solving while working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
