Job Summary: 

The Volvo Cars USA Digital Development Manager is responsible for planning, managing and tracking progress of digital projects, developed from insights-based strategic recommendations.  


The right candidate will execute against digital performance optimization strategies, working with US and Sweden-based teams to coordinate production and deployment.  


We are looking for an individual who is passionate about the consumer path to purchase and be able to take large amounts of global and local data and condense into actionable insights.  This role requires excellent coordination and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, as well as strong project management and communication skills. 


Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Will be the primary point of contact in all aspects of strategic website development and management including analysis and coordination of planning/testing (predominantly using Google optimize). This person will be accountable to complete recommended projects according to pre-defined timelines, working with teams based in the US and Sweden.  

  • Working closely with Digital Marketing Web Analyst and Content Manager on strategic recommendations in accordance with business objectives. Emphasis on mobile-first development to optimize engagement, conversion and lead generation across digital platforms. 

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Consumer Enterprise Digital, Media and Analytics teams to measure the impact of our efforts (e.g. lead generation, content production, website performance, multi-variate testing) and create actionable, and insightful reports for the Marketing team.  

  • Must have the ability to analyze complex business requirements and propose workable solutions.  

  • Collaborate with marketing and campaign teams to provide strategic recommendations on optimal structure/design, content, and user experience based on internal and external data sources.  

  • Assist with comprehensive project documentation, and clearly communicate progress to all levels of the organization.  

  • Perform digital, and cultural trend analysis of key audience targets, competitors, and automotive industry.  

  • Communicate digital best practices based on US-learnings to benefit non-US markets. 


Key Competencies/Abilities: 

  • Bachelor's Degree, with 3-5 years’ experience in digital strategy  

  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills 

  • Experience with web, social, and paid analytics tools. 

  • Agile experience, AHA Product Management tools preferred but not essential.   

  • Experience with A/B and multi-variant testing. 

  • Project management skills; effectively manage project tasks, timelines, and communications. Demonstrated ability to successfully organize and manage multiple priorities.  

  • Excellent communication skills, experienced in presentation development and delivery of analysis to non-technical audiences. 

  • Able to work in a team environment and collaborates well with others  

  • A creative and proactive problem-solver.
