CED BI Architect/ETL Developer

Job Summary:   


As a BI Architect/ETL Developer on our Business Intelligence & Analytics team, you will be an integral contributor to the digital transformation of Volvo Cars USA, a leading disruptor in the automotive industry. You will analyze new data sources to acquire information and create data models that support interactive, high quality visualizations to inspire a data-driven decision making culture.  The right candidate for this role will be eager to learn and comfortable working in a collaborative team environment.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for overall solution design and implementation of our data warehouse
  • Provides technical leadership on the deployment architecture and development guidelines
  • Develops ETL and conceptual, logical and physical data models to support PowerBI reporting
  • Responsible for the integrity and quality of data stored and flowing between business applications, the enterprise data warehouse, data marts
  • Collaborates closely with the business analyst and PowerBI developer to understand requirements

Key Competencies/Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Management, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field preferred
  • At least 3 years of relevant business intelligence and analytics experience
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence best practices, processes, tools, standards, and methodologies (tabular modeling experience is preferred)
  • Hands on technical experience leading the design and deployment of DW/BI architecture
  • Experience with Microsoft technology, including: SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, PowerBI, Azure
  • Experience with data security (RLS) and compliance
  • Agile development experience is preferred but not required
  • Automotive experience helpful but not required
  • Excellent organizational and follow through skills; attention to detail and deadlines
