Aftersales Business Retention Manager

Job Summary: 

The Aftersales Business Development Manager position has the primary responsibility for driving greater owner loyalty and higher service retention.    This will be achieved by delivering products, offers and services that deliver on our vision of “making our customers life less complicated during ownership.”  This role will lead of team of employees and report directly to the Director of Aftersales.  The role requires creativity, an ability to think strategically as well as exceptional project management skills. The ideal candidate has strong business acumen with a strict attention to detail.  Additionally, the candidate will be required to interface with senior management and must be comfortable creating and presenting presentations to large groups.  As this role is highly independent, the candidate should be able to set objectives themselves, think through key steps strategically and execute tasks tactically.   


Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate with agencies, marketing teams and CRM department on the deployment of consumer facing parts and service marketing and owner messaging 

  • Leverage new technologies, data,  and telematics to improve CRM effectiveness , enhance communications and drive greater response  

  • Provide central coordination for all Customer Service integration points with the Volvo on Call application 

  • Develop and manage service initiatives to increase dealership service traffic, increase parts sales, increase accessory sales with a focus on profitability 

  • Create and communicate value added offers that drive retention of the older car parc as well as Certified by Volvo customers 

  • Manage and coordinate the “Service by Volvo” offer to ensure it continues to evolve and provide added value to our consumers 

  • Work closely with Volvo Cars Financial services on the administration, marketing and offer structure for extended warranties, prepaid maintenance and related assurance products 

  • Facilitate coordination with partners and regions to drive engagement of sponsored products such as, service lane and digital workshop applications 

  • Support the development and deployment of alternative mobility solutions that support the service cusotmer 

  • Engage with regional teams to identify gaps within the network to ensure customers are receiving the desired service experience.     

  • Direct training curriculum development for customer facing retailer service employees 


Key Competencies/Abilities: 

  • College degree, graduate degree a plus 

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, exceptional understanding of Excel and PowerPoint, VBA proficiency is a plus 

  • Organized, logical and detail oriented and ability to lead a team through a changing marketplace 

  • 5+ years of experience in program management or equivalent 

  • Self-motivated and able to drive tasks to completion with minimal oversight 

  • Team-player who can drive business objectives through consensus agreement
