Heavy Equipment Repair Technician (Automotive Maintenance/Repair Technician)

Volvo Cars in Charleston/Ridgeville, South Carolina is seeking a (Heavy Equipment Repair Technician) Senior Automotive Repair Technician to support our manufacturing repair facility.

A Day in The Life Of:

• Ability to troubleshoot and repair vehicles after assembly.
• Familiarity with hand tools and repair processes.
• Experience with Answer to All Car Questions (ATACQ) and Volvo QPS
• Ability to communicate with other team members and share knowledge of issues that have been found or need to be repaired

What you will Bring to Volvo/Qualifications:

• High School Graduate of equivalent Required.
• Minimum of 3 years directly related work experience
• Technical Degree in Automotive Technology in lieu of (work experience) will be considered.

ASE certifications in and or all the following (a strong plus):

• Suspension and steering
• ASE certified in Brakes
• ASE certified in Electrical/electrical systems
• ASE certified in heating and air conditioning preferred.
• Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) certification/training or automotive brand certification/training a strong plus.

• This position regularly works daily and weekend overtime, depending on yard/repair conditions. 
• All candidates must pass a written skills assessment.
