What we are looking for:


Reporting directly to the Online Business Lead, the eCommerce Manager will contribute to the ongoing implementation, quality assurance, and evolution of the ecommerce (digital retail) platform. You will focus on driving market growth and ensuring a seamless customer experience from online to instore, in partnership with Volvo Cars Canada Retailers and our Americas Online Experience Team.


The eCommerce Manager will be responsible for partnering with our digital retail vendor and website vendors to ensure the platform is accurate and effective, integrates with the Volvo Cars and Retailer digital tools with an intuitive customer experience that aligns with the understated luxury Volvo brand and achieves our business goals.


Our ideal candidate is a strong website project manager, with experience in ecommerce and website development, a collaborative team player, with an excitement for working with cross-functional partners within North America, our global partners, and across our vendor partners. Bringing innovative ideas, and devising strategies to grow the market, the Ecommerce Manager is proactive, methodical, analytical and solutions oriented. A day in the life:

  1. Collaborate with the internal Volvo Cars Canada team to develop clear ecommerce business briefs to drive enhancements and new features.
  2. Contribute to the development of the ecommerce feature roadmap (annually and quarterly) in partnership with rest of the digital team and executive management.
  3. Drive successful SOW implementation with our vendors through regular touchpoints, weekly status, and milestone monthly and quarterly reviews.
  4. Use analytics tools (Google Analytics, Power BI) to identify actionable business opportunities and improvements on a weekly/monthly basis.
  5. Execute UAT exercises to ensure that the ecommerce experience is accurate across the Canadian retailer network with full functionality delivering.
  6. Conduct QA of digital ecommerce experience to find and resolve bugs/errors with speed.
  7. Lead and evolve the reporting and analytics to surface successes and areas of opportunity and present to internal stakeholders.
  8. Inspire innovation by monitoring trends and learning from luxury industries and automotive competitors.
  9. Manage all ecommerce financials with vendors and internal stakeholders.



What you will bring to Volvo:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Computer Science, or related field
  • 5-7 years of digital experience with 3-5 years of ecommerce experience
  • Project management skills and experience juggling multiple projects
  • Strong product and merchandising experience
  • Experience working in site merchandising and operations
  • Hands-on experience with Google Analytics and Salesforce
  • Experience with HTML and API  
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Advanced logical analysis and Excel skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
  • A self-directed work ethic
  • French or Mandarin language proficiency is ideal
