Fleet Account Manager (Remote)

Job Summary: 

The Fleet Account Manager is responsible for developing prospects and issuing proposals to promote the sale of Volvo products to Commercial Fleet accounts and achieving established sales and marketing volume and profit objectives consistent with the Commercial Fleet Strategy.

 

While this opportunity is remote, we are looking for an individual to be based out in California state.

 

Principal Responsibilities:   

  • Execute Commercial Fleet Strategy to maximize potential in commercial fleet channels.
  • Assist with development of national fleet electrification strategy to drive fleet electrification growth both in the short and long term.
  • Fleet electrification focus and “green” fleet lead person.
  • Focus on the development and prospecting of the Fleet EV market.
  • Achieve fleet volume objectives including accurate forecasting as required to support national volume and profitability objectives.
  • Prospect using commercial fleet sales programs targeting commercial fleet accounts, vendors and suppliers.
  • Manage an account base of assigned fleet accounts through regular sales contacts.
  • Provides the support necessary to develop, retain and enhance a high level of customer satisfaction with fleet customers and Fleet Leasing Company representatives.
  • Respond to RFQ and RFI for large accounts.
  • Assist with fleet administrative tasks as requested and ensure all customer inquiries are handled in a timely manner.
  • Interact with cross-functional units (e.g. Regional Teams, Marketing, Finance, Sales Operations) on fleet related issues.
  • Liaison with the Global Fleet team on Global major accounts in co-operation with the Commercial Fleet Team.
  • Participate in industry events such as NAFA, AFLA and Ride & Drives.

 

Competencies/Experience/Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or other relevant disciplines.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the automotive fleet business, structure and culture.
  • Ability to analyze market potential and develop effective action plans.
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
  • Sales Aptitude: Previous sales experience, competitive nature, ability to build and nurture relationships.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ambitious, high energy, easy to converse with, team player, positive attitude.
  • Adaptable: Ability to adapt and prioritize with changing, fast-paced situations.
  • Be flexible and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Fleet management company experience preferred.
