Job Summary:

Within Volvo Cars USA, the Northeast Regional office is looking for an Aftersales Market Manager to support after sales operations with our retailers. This role is the direct liaison between Volvo Cars USA and the retailers in the assigned district.  This position will work within the Michigan/Ohio/Indiana/Kentucky market area, helping each Volvo retailer deliver a truly exceptional customer experience. The role includes consulting and providing the tools necessary to each Volvo retailer so that they are profitable and successful in the market they represent. This is the perfect role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced and evolving environment.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage a group of highly motivated Volvo retailers, providing direction, coaching and support. Communicate best practices and inspire continuous improvement with retailers for improved aftersales growth, retention, profitability, and high levels of customer satisfaction. 
  • Develop long-term professional relationships with Volvo retailers, as well as regional and national colleagues, to collaborate and think “outside of the box.”
  • Achieve parts and accessories objectives within market, with emphasis on the wholesale channel, both collision and repair parts.
  • Promote and leverage Volvo marketing strategies and initiatives to increase retention and drive parts and service sales.
  • Ensure compliance with warranty policy, including goodwill and warranty labor rate increase requests.
  • Assist retailers with resolution efforts for customer contact issues, including coordination of buybacks and litigation avoidance efforts.

  • Strong interpersonal skills - able to establish effective working relationships with retailers and utilize conflict resolution as needed.
  • Analytical skills - able to gather and use information logically to reach a clear understanding of situations and problems; able to investigate and identify root causes of issues and problems.
  • Good communications skills - present ideas in a clear, concise way, both written and verbal.
  • Consulting skills - ability to recognize opportunities and make recommendations to retailers to affect positive change within their organizations.
  • Organizational skills – ability to prioritize and handle multiple timelines and initiatives.


Experience Required:

  • Prior experience with automotive OEM or retail customer service operations strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of automotive technology preferred, which may be acquired through formal or informal experience. 
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combinations of experience and education in a relevant field required.
  • Up to 75% travel required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
