As Director for Program Execution APAC in Final Assembly, this is a great opportunity for you who are ready to take the next challenging step in your career as senior leader. We are looking for a true leader with proven track record, high ambitions and great interest in both developing people, Manufacturing Engineering and our Final Assembly shops worldwide. Besides entering a senior position, you will also play an important role in the Final Assembly ME management team.

Further, you will drive changes and improvements globally as well as within the APAC region and develop a strong business oriented culture as the direct link between our central teams and the APAC plants within Manufacturing. This position is based in Shanghai but has the operative responsibility for all programs within APAC.

What you’ll do
You will lead an organisation consisting of program managers located in all our manufacturing plants in APAC. As Head of Program Execution you will lead your team to implement vehicle programs, change orders and engineering changes in respective production site so that both product and process requirements are fulfilled.

Your team is responsible to secure that all products introduced in our Final Assembly shops fulfils required levels of manufacturability as well as to engineer, implement and maintain quality-assured, efficient and standardized production systems in our Final Assembly shops. You will be reporting to the Head of Manufacturing Engineering in Final Assembly.

Do you fit the profile?
We see that you have extensive experience from leading leaders and a proven track record in successfully delivering in your previous roles. Experience of driving change within a complex manufacturing business, knowledge and capability of implementation of lean tools and techniques is positive but the most important part is that you know how to get the job done even when the going gets tough.

You need to be very comfortable in situations where different interests are being debated on high level within the company as you will represent the complete Final Assembly team in several plants as well as being fully responsible for the team’s delivery in all our Final Assembly shops. Experience from international assignments and/or other companies than Volvo in Gothenburg is definitely a strong plus.

As the operative leader for a regional team, personal presence in all different sites is naturally needed in order to both create the personal relationship to your own team as well as with our colleagues running the Final Assembly shops around the world.

For this position, you need to be fluent in spoken and written English.
