Business structure linkage: Business structure linkage Accountable for a program containing one or more projects on tactical/strategic level.

Purpose: Initiating and setting goals for programs according to the strategic objectives of the organization. Planning the programs from start to completion involving deadlines, milestones and processes. Developing or approving budgets and operations.

Authority: According to functional descriptions, processes, established development and governance models and according to specific directions and guidelines communicated by local manager.


What will you do?

Communicate the function's strategy and its relationship to the organization's mission, vision and values; clarify the actions needed to implement it within the area of responsibility; motivate people to commit to these and to doing extraordinary things to achieve the organization's business goals. • Provide authoritative specialist guidance to the leadership team to guide the implementation of policy and the design and implementation of projects and change initiatives. • Initiate and lead the governance and delivery of programs within a significant area of responsibility, using an appropriate program and project management methodology to give assurance that intended outcomes are identified and achieved • Lead the detailed design and delivery of substantial projects within a transformational change program, ensuring integration with other disciplines/functions; build management commitment and use structured change management methodologies to drive acceptance of change and to embed desired culture and behaviors. • Lead the development and implementation of stakeholder engagement strategies and plans across the program to identify relevant stakeholders, to create mutually supportive working relationships, and to ensure that each stakeholder has an appropriate share of voice at both project and program levels. • Ensure that risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints are managed appropriately at program and project levels. Where risks or issues threaten delivery of the program, develop and agree on recovery plans. • Lead the planning and delivery of complex wide-ranging information gathering, analysis, and stakeholder consultation activities and specify, negotiate, and agree on program and project deliverables, ensuring integration across the program and with the wider portfolio where present. • Lead the development and implementation of a strategy to ensure that intended business benefits are realized across a program • Drive a culture of innovation by creating multi-stakeholder solutions that boost creativity, innovation, and collaboration across business units, such as idea generation platforms, jam sessions, and hackathons. • Specify and lead the delivery of the project review process to ensure that stakeholders are able to evaluate progress and agree on change at appropriate points. • Act as subject matter expert in an area of technology, policy, regulation, or operational management for the team and beyond in the function. Maintain external accreditations and in-depth understanding of current and emerging technologies, external regulation, and industry best practices through continuing professional development, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
