Right now, we have an exciting job opening for you in Painted Body, Vehicle Hardware department in China, located in Shanghai. 


What´s in it for you?
Painted Body PDS is part of global team. Focus on Sedan development and take lead of product development for global projects. 
We are responsible for BIW and surface product including UN body, UP body, Geometry, System attribute, Paint, Label, Vehicle cover, Sealing and Plug, etc. We have capable GDLs, Designers, GSU and CAE to secure our delivery with high quality and in time. 
We work in close collaboration with our suppliers, support them with quality requirements and lead them in the direction of our expectations. It is important for us to have a transparent communication with external and internal stakeholders, to work together as a one team and deliver in perform according to Volvo Cars values and principles of our culture and goals. We are also transforming internally and changing into agile way of working using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), which gives our employees additional opportunities to grow and develop within the company and have a broader scope of work, deeper collaboration and taking the ownership of their work.
What you will do?

  • Work together with Volvo headquarters in Paint Body area, take over design and develop responsibility of local projects. 
  • Work in AGILE way with cross functional teams to meet customer expectation for global markets including China market.
  • Deliver for all program milestones, with timing, quality and cost target in control.
  • Work closely with attribute owners to improve the vehicle attribute, including safety, NVH, Strength and durability.
  • Prepare and release engineering design specifications and CAD data in Volvo system.
  • Paint AAR (Appearance Approval Report), Colour Matching and Surface texture assessment.
  • Involve in local supplier evaluation and development, deliver technical requirements and specifications to suppliers, prepare and sign off technical documents.


Do you fit the profile?

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Automotive Engineering, Material related.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Fluent English in both written and oral.
