What we are looking for:

 

The Parts Operations team is in search of a new team member who will join a dynamic and fast paced team to manage and improve our parts wholesale programs. This position will lead our newly created parts wholesale department and will ultimately be responsible for growing our wholesale business. At VCUSA, the Parts Operations team is focused on securing parts and accessories revenue in all primary and secondary sales channels, thus is contributing greatly to the overall financial success of Volvo Cars. We are looking for an individual who is excited to make a tangible impact on our wholesale operations and to the overall strategic success of our organization.

 

A day in the life:

 

At Volvo Cars, and specifically within the Parts Operations team, culture is very important. We value a balanced work approach and care about the success of our team members. As part of this focused team, you will be responsible for our parts wholesale programs, including all associated parts revenue.

 

  • You will lead the design and execution of an overarching wholesale strategy with the goal of realizing untapped revenue potentials for mechanical and collision parts. You will maintain ownership of the developed strategy from conceptual design through implementation and training.
  • To ensure the log-term success of all wholesale parts programs, you will closely interact with other stakeholders to ensure pricing, parts stocking policies, and overall Terms and Conditions are optimized to support the long-term success of our wholesale parts business.
  • You will work with our Certified Collision Team to improve and enhance our Volvo Certified Collison Center Program to align with future strategic goals of our organization. The primary focus will be on increasing shop throughput, cycle times, and customer satisfaction.
  • You will oversee and lead the optimization of current wholesale parts incentive and rebate programs, with the goal to maximize sales penetration and profitability.
  • You will spearhead the enhancement of our parts and accessories eCommerce program with the objective of increasing sales and securing high customer satisfaction.
  • You will lead, manage, and mentor a team of 5 team members and ensure their continued growth and success within our dynamic and fast paced organization.

 

What you will bring to Volvo:

 

  • You preferably have a minimum of five to seven (5-7) years of wholesale parts program management experience with a motor vehicle OEM under your belt.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a discipline requiring an analytical aptitude and strategic thinking such as business administration or economics.
  • Fast learner with go-getter attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications, analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of management
  • You thrive in a fast paced, ever changing, collaborative working environment

 

You might also have:

 

  • A deep understanding of the motor vehicle service, parts, and accessory business
  • Prior experience with managing, mentoring, and developing a team of multiple colleagues
  • Advance knowledge of retailer operations, especially of the parts department
  • Understanding of the independent aftermarket, collision industry, and insurance industry
  • Ability to make decisions with limited supervision
  • Advance level proficiency in Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
