We’re Looking For You

 

We are seeking a talented team player with experience in upscale customer events and experiences who can foster relationships and elevate our brand by engaging consumers through our Volvo Cars Studio concepts. This collaborative, creative, and innovative individual will lead the development, implementation, and management of event executions at our retail studio concepts in Manhattan and Los Angeles, as well as our mobile studio. The role will also be responsible for the strategic development and execution of homegrown partnership opportunities at the studios that can be scaled and grown to a national level. 

 

Our ideal team member is well-connected, detail-oriented, and enjoys working on a team of creative, passionate storytellers who live the Volvo brand. This individual will collaborate and partner with various stakeholders across the organization both regionally and nationally, as well as international stakeholders in the Americas and Global teams at Volvo Cars.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop a strategic roadmap to bring innovation and excellence to our brand studio environment. You will need to identify and pinpoint both national, regional and global opportunities for collaboration. 
  • Identify effective homegrown partnership opportunities geared to increase the equity of our brand within prospective consumers.  Be a driving force to test innovative execution opportunities at the brand studio space that could later be scaled to the retailer environment.  These opportunities should focus on bringing the Volvo brand story alive by highlighting our human-centric core brand values (safety, innovation, quality and care for the environment) and our Scandinavian heritage.
  • Ensure the development of event assets consistent with our brand and brand guidelines, while incorporating global directives and regional needs
  • Set-out effective metric valuations for all initiatives, including monthly reporting for leadership and diverse stakeholders. 
  • Proactively liaise with Volvo Car USA on studio retail findings and strategies, and effectively identify new opportunities for collaboration
  • Produce additional event activations related to Experiential and Corporate Communications. 
  • Work cross-functionally to maximize event exposure through all Marketing areas, including PR, Marketing Communications, CRM/Lead Generation, Social Media, and Regional/Retailer Involvement
  • Maximize alignment and collaboration within studios to minimize costs and maximize opportunities and brand awareness.
  • Effectively manage team of individual studio managers and agency partners, inspiring innovation and creativity.

 

Key Competencies/Abilities:

 

  • A bachelor’s degree in related discipline.
  • 5+ year’s work experience in the following: customer experience, events, retail marketing, visual merchandising, retail space planning and/or event design.
  • Knowledge of the upscale market and consumer.
  • Some travel is required for this role – 20%
  • Existing connections within the partnership and events space is preferred
